Brett Matthews, a western Cape Breton native, redefines Americana with influences from R&B to Country, akin to Bon Iver and City & Colour. Though his love for music started at a young age, he later joined Classified's band in 2019, playing nearly 100 shows.  His song "If I Die Today (feat. Classified)" was the second place finalist in the 2023 American Songwriter Contest and has been chosen as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.   

Brett's newest release "Lucky Ones" is also available on all streaming platforms now. 

The song hits us with the realization of how lucky we can be when we have each other, and to be happy with whatcha got because there's no money or car fancy enough to replace the feeling of gratitude and appreciation we have for our loved ones.
